Halloween

During the last week of October we learned about Halloween since it was approaching soon. Although we don't give it a lot of importance in Malta children can learn a lot from this topic.

We learned some facts about pumpkins, bats & cats. We also learned about ghosts & witches which are all associated with Halloween. We did quite some interesting activities using paint, popcorn & yarn (suf) & we also did handprints to make wings.

These are the songs that we learned about this topic: (for tune see the link below)

Pumpkin time is here again
time to play trick or treat
pumpkin time is here again
our spooky friends we'll meet

Flutter flutter little bat
how I wonder where you're at
swooping through the darkest night
you found your way without a light
flutter flutter little bat
how I wonder where you're at!

A little baby ghost went out one Halloween
along came a witch that the ghost had never seen!
but mummy ghost came flying to see what made him cry
and the witch that scared her baby went flying off so high

Ghosts and goblins
ghosts and goblins
witches too
witches too
all out trick or treating
all out trick or treating
can't scare you!
can't scare you!

Here is a video of the children singing the songs in class so that you'll know the tune of the songs.
